feed Phil while he recovers

Hi guys. This is actually the first-ever fundraiser I've set up for myself. I really hate to ask, but...



I am donating a kidney soon, to save the life of a local man, David Mickelsen. We didn't know each other before, but have since become good friends. 

In a couple weeks, I will be driving to San Fransisco to participate in a paired exchange program, where several of us will be operated on at once, and our organs will me mixed & matched to save several lives. 

Now I'm asking for your help. I will have to be out of work for a couple weeks, and I still have 5 kids to feed, and bills to pay. On top of that, I must cover all my own travel expenses to and from San Fransisco. 


While my employer has assisted in some fundraising for my recipient, and even covered a night at a hotel in San Fransisco during testing, they are a business, not a charity. I have been recently moved to hourly from salary, after they learned of my upcoming absence. They have a business to run. 

So any help you can toss my way, would be greatly appreciated.
