Hi everyone,
After watching live videos from the Facebook page of Heavenly path Nepal, I really felt the urge to help the organization who has been helping the hungry street dogs, birds, fishes, cows, monkeys every night/day by providing them with food since the pandemic began. These innocent street animals rely on food scraps from restaurants/garbage/ temples in order to survive. Since pandemic, the restaurants are close leaving them with no food to eat. Many of them are injured with infected wounds on their body. Some of them have broken legs. Some are blind (either by birth or due to injury.) Many people are not kind to these stray voiceless survivors. Some hit them mercilessly when they try to come near for food. Some are struck by vehicles and they never stop to look and take care of the animal.
If you opened this fundraiser to read this then I know YOU are different. I know you CARE. Let us be the voice to the voiceless. Let us be human and act human. let us help in whatever way possible. If we cannot give our hand to help them, at least we can donate through this page to those volunteers who are willing to give up their sleep and go out in the night to feed those hungry survivors.
Here are a few questions I asked one of the members of the organization (Heavenly Path) below:
Q: How did this project "feeding stray animals" start?
A: Under the direction of the Supreme Master of Heavenly path. He cares about all animals and feels that they deserve equal love, freedom and care.
Q: Since when did the feeding start?
A: Since the pandemic began, approx. Feb/March 2020.
Q: How many times do they feed ?
A: Once every day.
Q: Where do they feed the animals ?
A: They feed in various locations.
Q: How many people are involved in physical work?
A: They form groups of 3/4 people in a group and go to separate locations.
Q: Which animals do they feed?
A: They feed Dogs, birds, fish, monkeys. All stray animals who depend on people to survive.
Q: Where do they get food enough to feed so many animals everyday?
A: They rely on donations from helpful people like you to buy a lot of Rice, biscuits, fish food, bird food, etc.
Q: Do they also rescue animals?
A: Yes, when the group come across any injured, sick, animals, they bring those injured ones with them and treat them at home for smaller wounds and take them to the Vet doctor if they require surgery.
Q: Why did they choose to feed at night?
A: It is more quieter and less vehicles on street so there is less chance of injury when they come running for food. Also, not to scare them away.
