Helping Street Dogs in Guatemala — One Rescue at a Time

We are Martin, Tom & Theresa from Germany, and we moved to Guatemala with one simple mission: to help street dogs in need.

Since arriving here, we have seen firsthand how many dogs struggle to survive. Some are injured. Some are sick. Some are hungry. Many have never experienced what it feels like to be safe, cared for, and loved.

Every day, we encounter dogs that need urgent help. Whether it's providing food, arranging emergency veterinary care, supporting vaccinations and sterilization programs, or assisting local rescue shelters, our goal is always the same: to improve the lives of as many dogs as possible.

We work alongside local rescuers, shelters, veterinarians, and community members who dedicate their lives to helping animals despite limited resources. Through these partnerships, we can respond to emergencies, support ongoing rescue efforts, and help create lasting change for dogs in Guatemala.

Our Long-Term Vision

While our current focus is helping dogs wherever they need us most, our dream is to one day create our own rescue and rehabilitation center in Guatemala.

A place where vulnerable dogs can recover, socialize, receive medical care, and eventually find loving homes.

Until then, we will continue supporting local rescue efforts, helping dogs in crisis, and doing everything we can to give them a second chance.
