My name is Natalia Golunga, and I am a Ukrainian-American organizing this fundraiser on behalf of "Beloved Mongrel" (Улюблена дворняга), a registered animal shelter established in 2018 and located in the Dnipropetrovsk region of Ukraine.
I personally know the founder of this shelter - Zaieva Tetiana Serhiivna, and have verified their registration and operations. I am in direct contact with her regarding the shelter’s current emergency needs.
The shelter is currently caring for over 1,500 rescued animals, primarily dogs and cats, as well as several farm animals. Many have been evacuated from active war zones. They arrive injured, malnourished, sick, and in urgent need of treatment.
Why This Is Urgent
Ongoing attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure have caused severe power outages across the region. Electricity is often available for only a few hours per day.
This means:
- No reliable heat during freezing temperatures
- Limited ability to prepare food
- Disruptions in medical treatment
- Critically low supplies
New abandoned and injured animals continue to arrive almost daily.
The shelter does not have a permanent donor or stable funding source and is operating in emergency conditions.
What Your Donation Will Support
Our goal is $5,000, which will help cover approximately 4–6 weeks of:
- Dry food for 1,500+ animals
- Emergency veterinary care and medications
- Backup power support (power banks and essential equipment)
- Materials to insulate kennels and protect animals from extreme cold

Transparency & How Funds Are Delivered
GoFundMe does not currently support direct payouts to Ukrainian bank accounts. As the organizer, I will receive the funds and transfer 100% of donations directly to the shelter founder in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Proof of transfers and updates will be shared here for full transparency.
