Hi! We are four UNT students raising money on behalf of the North Texas Food Bank. Thank you in advance for any and all donations, no matter the size.
Did you know that approximately 1 in 7 of our fellow Texans, a staggering 4 million people, are struggling with food insecurity and do not know where their next meal will come from? Due to the pandemic caused by COVID-19, the number of hungry Texans is higher than ever. The goal of our crowdfunding campaign is to feed as many of those 4 million hungry people as we can through a monetary donation to the North Texas Food Bank. The North Texas Food Bank is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that has provided 96.9 million meals to children, seniors, and families and has distributed 34 million pounds of fresh produce in FY2020. The money raised through our campaign will be directly donated to the organization, where $1 is equivalent to 3 meals. This means that, when we reach our $500 goal, we will provide approximately 1500 meals to community members of the North Texas area that are in need of assistance.
