In the early hours of October 9th, a catastrophic fire swept through Nederland, Colorado, destroying much of the Caribou Village Shopping Center and displacing residents and small business owners. The blaze tore through the heart of this tight-knit mountain town, leaving behind heavy losses and an urgent need for community support.
Amid the devastation, one local business owner — a friend of mine who runs the Lovin Cup Community Kitchen (located at the Deli at 8236) in Nederland — is now trying to help. Despite the uncertainty and hardship, he's once again organizing a free kitchen to feed anyone affected by the fire: families and fellow business owners who suddenly find themselves without a source of income or a place to gather.
I’m creating this fundraiser to help turn this act of kindness into a sustained community effort. All funds raised will go directly toward ingredients and supplies for daily meals.
Even a small donation can help keep warm food available to those who have lost so much. This is a way for those of us outside the community to stand alongside the impacted people of Nederland as they begin the difficult process of recovery.
