Help feed animals at the Nevis Equestrian Centre

The Nevis Equestrian Center sincerely appreciates every one of our riders from the first-timers to the advanced wildlings. We are now battling the closure of our establishment until our state of emergency ends in October 2020. As Covid-19 continues to affect our suddenly unemployed team of horses, we are turning to our extended family of riders to help support these magnificent animals who give so much to their community and visitors from around the world. Your gift would help feed and provide the much-needed care requirements for our horses until we can get our lesson programs running again and daily horseback tours to explore the beautiful trails.
We have no revenue but still a farm of animals to feed and take care of - 14 horses, dogs, cats, turtles, guinea birds, ducks, chickens, rabbits, goats, and donkeys. It costs approximately $600 weekly to feed these animals. In addition, we also have to purchase supplies for tick prevention, medical supplies, and equipment.
Since 1996, The Nevis Equestrian Center has served the islands of St Kitts & Nevis by providing riding lessons and equine knowledge to a community of special needs students as well as able-bodied students. Our programs are committed to providing top-rated instruction and the “therapy” only a horse can provide. Along with our daily horseback tours, some of our outreach programs include:
- Animal Rescue, Summer Camp, Equestrian - Special Olympics and Therapeutic Riding serving students with physical, psychological, and emotional disabilities.
