We need URGENT funds now for EMERGENCY SURGERY for Pepito. HE CANT WAIT MUCH LONGER !! A sweet 5 year old boy who fell from a third floor window in Harlem. We found lying on top of rat poison right behind the apartment he lived in!! He was microchipped and after contacting the owner we discovered he was lying there for a WEEK in the heat with no food and the owner didn't find him.... His collar was close by just lying on concrete-it must have popped off when he fell. They knew his leg was broken and were not able to get him to ER. Because the animal is our priority we got him back and spent 6 hours at an emergency clinic last night. He has a horrible fracture- the BONE IS THROUGH THE SKIN so there is danger of infection and the vet said he was in so much pain. The surgery he needs is $6000. The other option is to amputate the leg. He is currently on pain meds and antibiotics while we fund raise and for the first time since Saturday, this morning he ate a little. He is SO strong and the ER vet said with what we see now-with the surgery he can make a full recovery . Pepito wants to live!! He is a FIGHTER! He craves affection and was so grateful we found him. Please help!! I added this onto our current GFM because there is no time to start over. We need to get him surgery in the next few days as he is at great risk of infection. If we cant get funds for fixing the leg in next few days we will have to amputate or euthanize because he is in so much pain.
We have no more funds- as we have been doing a HUGE rescue of almost 50 cats in Bensonhurst (see below). Please donate or share and pray for this little guy.
Here we go again!!! These four newborn babies are one small group of a HUGE colony (50 or more) !!! in Bensonhurst, New York. Our focus is the cats of Harlem, and when someone reaches out with a dire situation like this, we have to help. There are at least 10-12 more tiny brand new babies, three pregnant cats and many older kittens-- 4-6 months old . This is what happens when people feed colonies but don't make any efforts to stop the cycle of reproduction and suffering.
Skye, Egypt, Bae and Brooklyn are the lucky ones. As soon as we get funds and fosters, we can continue to rescue and help their siblings and friends! We also have an Amazon wishlist on our IG if you'd like to donate food directly.
We still have cats from our big December rescues (10 kittens in two weeks) that need vetting. Thankfully this guy "collar kitty "has resurfaced. We first met Dexter three days after Christmas when trapping the kittens before the first snow storms. Dexter was wearing a collar at that time and would sit near the traps where the kittens were crying. Maybe the concerned Papa Cat. Still wearing his collar, he was very friendly. Amazingly, this guy survived the winter and is still a purring machine- after being dumped right when the cold cold weather began and having to learn the ways of the street. Miraculously he has stayed sweet and will make a wonderful animal companion!!!

As will happen when cats go unfixed, Dexter has a twin... Ned/ Nadine, and they have a handsome pal, Heath.
We need to get these last cats fixed ASAP, so we don't have an explosion in Harlem like there is in Bensonhurst. In five years, one unspayed female cat and her offspring can produce at least 3,000 cats (at minimum, some charts say up to 420,000). Our work is to stop it before there are more unwanted animals in the streets.
Because the ASPCA has very limited spots available for low cost vetting, we need to raise at least $150 per cat. This pays for fixing, shots and FiV, FLV testing. The kittens, as you can see from above, have needed antibiotics and are responding well. With your help we can get the rest in time!!!

Your donations are the only way we can make this happen. Thank you for caring. When there is so much sadness in the world the smallest acts of kindest mean that much more. For these babies, we change their whole world!!
For those who know our work: our winter 2020 fundraiser was success and now TEN kittens are in loving homes:
Henrietta, Hazel, Benedict, Beatrice, Sydney, Benjamin, Tyson, Moonbeam, Bailey and Barnaby.
Thank you for helping us help them!!!
