Allen here. I married into a family on a small island in the Philippines. We lived there at the beginning of our marriage so I know the people and their life styles. My extended family and their neighbors are in trouble. In the best of times these lovely people lived hand to mouth. Refrigerators in home are rare. Cooking is over wood or charcoal. Most houses are of plywood with tin or nippa roofs. There are no backups that we take for granted from our pantries, freezers, refrigerators. This video and photos will show you the damage we are facing. The video is of the capital of the island, San Jose. The photos are of the actual villages. There is very little left.
Short term we need to help with food, rice, canned goods and minimum shelter from tarps. Longer term we can help with tin roofing, plywood and cement. Please help me help these wonderful people.
