During the government shutdown in 2019, food supplies ran short among Coast Guard Families and scouting units railed to organize a drive for them. Currently there are 51 families at Hamilton Housing that are struggling during this shutdown.

Marin Cub Scout Families are working together with the goal of purchasing 51 turkeys, boxes of stuffing, and potatoes to not only help our fellow scout family, but all of these families in need. No family should go hungry, and we should honor those who serve our country.

With the funds raised, we'll buy as many turkeys as we can!!!

We closed the fundraiser on 11/14, then on 11/15, two moms from our Pack purchased frozen turkeys, pumpkin pies, cranberry sauce, and sweet potatoes from Safeway. They then handed them off to another family from the pack to deliver to the Hamilton Housing Unit that same day. We received such gratitude- thank you so much for your generosity!!
