Help Feed 50 Displaced Chinatown Residents After Fire
Donation protected
Early Friday morning, a devastating fire tore through the roof of a three-story apartment building in Chinatown, leaving one person in critical condition and displacing dozens of others. The fire, which started in a nearby building under construction, quickly spread to the apartment complex on the 700 block of West New Depot Street. Over 50 residents have been left without homes and are currently staying in nearby hotels.
We’ve launched this GoFundMe to raise funds to provide meals for these 50 displaced individuals. Every dollar will go directly to the victims—none of the money will be used for any other purpose. Our goal is to cover the cost of:
- 3 days of breakfast
- 4 days of lunch
- 3 days of dinner
The total cost is $5,368, which, thanks to the generosity of local restaurants, is only $135 per person for 9 meals.
This is what the incredible organizations supporting these victims have requested to meet their immediate needs.
Any amount helps, even $1. Your support during this challenging time is deeply appreciated. Thank you for standing with these families and helping them get through this difficult period.
**Any additional funds raised will be given directly to the victims.
