Hi everyone,
In 2024, my partner Fede was diagnosed with a rare cancer (Osteosarcoma). He went through a very big surgery where doctors had to remove 5 ribs and reconstruct his chest with titanium prosthetic ribs.
It was a long and difficult journey, but he recovered incredibly well. We were so grateful to have a second chance as a family.
Unfortunately, this year we are facing another challenge.
Fede now needs a new surgery to fix part of his chest reconstruction, as one of the prosthetic ribs has become unstable. There is also a concern about a possible infection in his chest, which needs to be checked and treated as soon as possible.
We live in Perth, but the surgery must be done in Sydney, which means we have to cover travel, accommodation, and many medical costs.
Although part of the hospital stay is covered by Bupa, we still need to pay for:
Specialist consultations
Scans and medical tests
Anaesthetist fees
Travel from Perth to Sydney
Time off work during recovery
As we don’t have Medicare, these costs are significant for our family.
We are currently asking for help to support this surgery and recovery.
Fede is incredibly strong. He is a loving partner and an amazing dad to our little boy, Lucas. All we want is for him to be healthy and continue building our life together.
If you are able to support us—through a donation, sharing this page, or keeping us in your thoughts—we would be deeply grateful.
Thank you for your kindness and support during this time.
With love,
Gisela, Fede & Lucas
