Help Fearon Fight Lyme

Donation protected
Lyme disease is a bacterial infection usually carried and passed by ticks, and those diagnosed with the infection can experience long-term chronic joint pain, brain fog, nervous system dysregulation, debilitating fatigue, and general degeneration of tissue. Each year, around 470,000 new cases of Lyme disease are reported in the US alone. While the CDC recently recognized Lyme as a chronic condition, which they’re calling “post-treatment Lyme disease syndrome”, there is still a pervasive lack of understanding, support, and treatment for those struggling with the infection, and medical costs related to Lyme are estimated to be between $712M−1.3B each year in the USA with the vast majority of costs being covered out of pocket by individuals and families.

Fearon began to experience mysterious symptoms in early 2020 including intense fatigue, short-term memory loss, vision problems, severe anxiety, insomnia, and chronic joint pain. In August of 2020, Fearon awoke to visibly swollen joints, unable to move the right side of her body. After weeks of blood work and tests, Fearon was eventually diagnosed with Lyme disease. Since her diagnosis, Fearon has been fighting to get the life she knew back; a life not determined by her symptoms. Insurance covered one round of antibiotics, providing little to no relief. Over the past year, Fearon and her family have invested tens of thousands of dollars on treatments to try and get a handle on this disease including IV therapy, hyperthermia (medically induced fever in an ICU paired with IV antibiotics), and seeking out Lyme-literate practitioners.

As Fearon navigates Lyme while in graduate school, she is more inspired than ever to help others battling this disease. She plans to put her personal experience and Masters in Integrative Health into practice; her vision is to give back to the community of Lyme-fighters who are often misunderstood and under-resourced. We’re reaching out to her community to ask for a helping hand to get her access to the powerful Lyme treatments she needs to get back to feeling her best, including:

Covering a year’s worth of monthly Anti-Inflammatory medication (currently out of pocket), $960 |
Accessing acupuncture and chiropractic services for pain management, a series of 25 sessions for $2,500 |
Onboarding with a Lyme-literate Medical Doctor, not covered by insurance - 1 year of care and testing for $5,000 |
Stem Cells therapy for immune regulation and tissue repair, $8,000 |
Ozone IV treatment (an anti-bacterial approach that’s less disruptive to the gut than traditional antibiotics) 10 rounds for $10,000 |

Thank you for contributing to this journey and helping Fearon access modalities that will greatly benefit her health. Anything you can offer is hugely appreciated. Never hesitate to reach out if you know someone who is struggling with this chronic illness…
