One of 89 FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) teams in Ohio, Fe2O3, a second year community robotics team based in Beavercreek, triumphantly earned an advancement to the FIRST 1 of 3 coveted spots at the FTC Ohio State Championship to compete at the prestigious 2024 FIRST Championship.
The team, composed of 9 talented students hailing from Beavercreek, Yellow Springs, Riverside and Miamisburg with their dedicated mentors, demonstrated unparalleled innovation, teamwork, and technical prowess throughout the FTC season. They impressed the judges not only with their exceptional robot, which was designed and built from scratch, but also with their community outreach, teamwork and presentation skills.
Fe2O3 will join students from over 50 countries at the FIRST Robotics Worlds Competition in Houston 17-20 April to celebrate STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) excellence, bringing together the brightest minds from around the world to showcase their design excellence, competitive play, research, business plans, creativity, and teamwork. This event serves as a unique opportunity for students to learn, collaborate, and compete at the highest level.
Fe2O3 is seeking community support to make their dream of competing at the FIRST World Championship a reality. The team is actively seeking fundraising assistance to cover competition related expenses. Contributions from local businesses, community members, and organizations are crucial to ensuring that these young innovators can participate in this life-changing experience.
Fe2O3 is hosting various fundraising events and initiatives to bridge the financial gap and ensure that every team member can fully participate in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
The team extends a warm invitation to the Miami Valley community to join hands in supporting Fe2O3 on their journey to the FIRST Robotics Worlds Competition. Your contribution will not only empower these bright young minds but also inspire a new generation of STEM enthusiasts.
