Our colleague and friend, Fazal Yakub, recently had to make an emergency trip to Kenya after learning that his grandmother suffered a heart attack. She is now in need of a heart catheterization.

Unfortunately, because due to age, she is not eligible for insurance coverage in Kenya, leaving the family responsible for the full cost of care out of pocket. The procedure and related medical expenses are expected to cost several thousand US dollars.

Fazal has always been someone who shows up for others with kindness, generosity, and compassion. Now, during this incredibly difficult and emotional time, we hope we can show up for him and his family in return.
