Hi, my name is Pip and I've been fundraising for Fawzy Almidana, his two daughters, his wife Balsam and his mother Monira in the Gaza strip. While we raised the money for his evacuation, the IDF seized the Rafah crossing in May 2024, and since then Fawzy has relied on £43,000 of donations to keep his family alive.

Over the past 3 months, Fawzy has had to visit a Gaza Humanitarian Foundation site three times to access basic food, due to our campaign unfortunately not generating enough donations to help pay for necessities. In the wake of IDF announcing another ground offensive, Fawzy only has $100 left to pay for medication for his mother, who is diagnosed with lung cancer and osteoporosis, and has to move his family again to the south. He has visited the South and he has told me there is no place to pitch a tent, as 2 million people are being squeezed into the south.

The generosity and kindness that you have shown to Fawzy and his family has been incredible, however we cannot give up on him now. Just the price of a cup of coffee every so often would help him continue to provide for his family. We need to hold out for them while public opinion is shifting, and it's forcing institutions to reckon with their silence during a genocide. I cannot let his family die before that happens, and I cannot abandon them until they have gotten to a safe place, and Fawzy tells me he does not need my campaign anymore.
