Favian is a passionate young baseball player and inventor who has faced unique challenges on and off the field. Born with a genetic hand difference, he has always struggled to find batting gloves that fit properly. This difficulty has not only made playing baseball harder, but it has also led to injuries—some severe enough to require surgery. Despite these obstacles, he has never let his differences hold him back. Instead, he used his experience as inspiration to help others.
Recently, he was selected as one of just 60 students to represent California at the National Invention Convention in Detroit, Michigan, taking place from June 3 to June 5, 2026. His invention, “Fitting Gloves,” is designed to help baseball players with hand differences—such as missing or extra fingers—by allowing them to create and order custom-fit batting gloves tailored to their unique hand shape and size. This innovation aims to improve player safety, boost performance, and, most importantly, promote inclusivity in baseball. For Favian, this project is more than just an invention; it’s a way to make the sport he loves accessible to everyone.
To make this dream a reality, we are seeking support to help cover the costs of airline tickets, hotel accommodations, and convention registration. Your contribution will not only help him attend this once-in-a-lifetime event but will also give him the chance to share his idea with judges, fellow inventors, and industry professionals. We are incredibly proud of his hard work and determination, and we hope you’ll consider supporting his journey. Every donation brings us one step closer to making a difference for athletes with hand differences everywhere.
