Our family is asking for help after an unexpected accident left our food truck, Fatty Tuna Sushi & Ramen, badly damaged and unable to operate. While driving on I-15, traffic in front of me suddenly stopped. With vehicles on both sides, I had no safe way to change lanes. I immediately applied the brakes, but unfortunately, our large food truck could not stop in time and collided with the vehicle in front of us. Thankfully, everyone is safe, and that is what matters most. Our truck, however, suffered significant damage. The front was badly damaged, the windshield is cracked on both sides, and the impact caused the commercial kitchen equipment inside to shift forward. We still do not know the full extent of the damage and will need professional inspections before we know what can be repaired or replaced.
Unfortunately, our insurance will not cover the damage to our food truck, leaving us responsible for the towing, inspections, repairs, damaged equipment, and other recovery expenses needed to get back on the road safely. Fatty Tuna has been our family’s small business for about 10 years and is an important source of income for us. When our truck is not running, our business is not running, and that loss of income continues while we wait to reopen. Every day off the road means canceled events, missed catering jobs, and more strain on our family as these expenses keep adding up. Support through this fundraiser will help us cover the ongoing costs of recovery and help us work toward reopening so we can earn a living again.
Asking for help is not easy for us, but any support would mean so much. If you are able, please consider making a donation. Recurring donations would be especially helpful because they can support our family through the ongoing loss of business income and the continuing expenses of getting Fatty Tuna back into working condition. One-time donations are also deeply appreciated, and if you cannot donate, sharing our fundraiser would be a huge help. Thank you to everyone who has supported Fatty Tuna over the years. We are so grateful for our community and hope to be back serving sushi and ramen again soon.
