Help Fatma Provide Safety & Hope for Her Daughters

Donation protected
Hello,
My name is Fatma Nabil Ghabayen, a Palestinian pharmacist from Gaza, and a mother to two young daughters: Hoor and Hala.
I was living a simple dream as a mother and student, and I graduated from pharmacy school on October 5, 2023… just two days before the war began — and it took everything from me.

Today, I write to you from beneath the rubble. I am not asking for charity — I am pleading for a dignified second chance. For my daughters. For our humanity. For survival.

What happened to us?

Our home was destroyed and looted during the war.

We were displaced and forced to move from one place to another, looking for shelter.

I lost every opportunity to work and never got the chance to begin my journey as a pharmacist.

My daughters and I live in harsh, unstable conditions, lacking even the most basic necessities.

I now manage each day like a battlefield:
Is there baby formula? Is there food? Can I afford diapers?
Everything is a draining fight — one I carry alone for the sake of my children.

Yet despite everything… I still dream.

I dream of standing behind a pharmacy counter, helping patients and earning a living with dignity.
I dream of my daughters sleeping safely in a warm home, not crowded shelters.
I dream of returning to life not as a refugee full of sorrow, but as a mother full of hope.

How will donations be used?

To provide basic needs:

Baby formula, food, diapers, and clothes for my daughters.

Essential medicine that I can no longer access due to the blockade.

To secure safe housing:

A temporary rental that offers us privacy and safety.

Ending the constant moving between unsafe shelters.

To start a small pharmacy project:

Purchase an initial stock of essential medications.

Rent and equip a small store.

Obtain the necessary permits to operate legally.

To restore what’s left of our dreams:

If a chance to travel arises, part of the funds will be used to build a new life outside danger zones.

If the situation stabilizes, we will use it to help rebuild what’s left of our home.

How can you help?
Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a real difference in our lives.
If you're unable to donate, please consider sharing my campaign with friends, family, or your community.
Spreading our story is just as valuable as financial support.

A final message from a mother to mothers around the world:
To give birth to two daughters in a home without food, without a roof, without safety — is a pain beyond words.
Please help me return their childhood to them… and I will spend the rest of my life repaying this kindness.

With all my love and gratitude,
Fatma

P.S. I have asked my friend Liz, who lives in the United States, to help me with this fundraiser. GoFundMe requires recipients to have a bank account in a supported country and the currency the fundraiser was set up in. To achieve this, funds will be transferred from GoFundMe to a separate bank account Liz has set up for this fundraiser and then wired to my bank account from there.
