I hope this message reaches you in good health. At the request of my friend Fatima, I initially created this fundraising campaign to help them evacuate from Gaza. However, as you are now aware, evacuation remains highly unlikely. Therefore, I am focusing on helping them meet their daily needs, as the situation there continues to be extremely difficult.

They generously share whatever little they receive with orphans and widows who are completely unsupported. Fatima shares her story:

"Despite the hardships of growing up in this country, before October 7th and the onset of this devastating war, our lives were relatively manageable. But then… we all witnessed what can only be described as a live genocide, which is still ongoing. Our dreams were shattered, and everything we had built and planned for vanished. Our family of 12 has been unemployed since the war began. We have no source of income due to the conflict and collective punishment.

After several displacements, we have returned to the Nuseirat camp. This area, located in the east of the strip, is a combat zone. Our lives are exhausted. We face severe shortages of essential medicines and water, as roads are destroyed and water supplies are cut off. Aid is scarce and difficult to access, barely reaching us because of restrictions on aid entry. We are now living through days that are unbearable for both humans and animals. We all have loved ones who are martyrs; some innocent children are left without their parents and are unaware of their loss. I see young children on the streets, hungry, with torn clothing, sometimes missing limbs, trying to find food in garbage. In those moments, I forget about my own health issues and severe pain that require surgery, and I focus instead on helping these orphans who struggle daily just to find a piece of bread and a glass of water.

Now, we no longer speak about displacement or evacuation. Our immediate need is food and water for ourselves and others in Gaza. I feel embarrassed when people approach me for help and I can only offer them a small piece of bread or whatever little I have.

I humbly ask for your help to save my family and other vulnerable people, especially children, by donating which will provide access to clean water and food. Thank you for your support and concern."
