An urgent plea for help from a widowed mother supporting five orphans

My brothers and sisters with compassionate hearts,

Peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you.

I am Umm Muhammad from Yemen… a widow for three years. My husband passed away, leaving me with five young children and no provider. Since that day, we have been struggling daily for survival, and our lives have become a living hell of hunger, cold, and deprivation.

We were forced to flee our homes because of the war, and today we live in a cracked mud tent with a roof made of tree branches that offers no protection from the heat or the cold. With every rain, our tent floods, and we spend the nights huddled together, shivering from fear and cold.

My children often sleep hungry and in pain, and days go by without finding anything to sustain them. Even water has become scarce; My two young daughters and son have to travel to a distant well on a donkey to fetch water. Every day, my heart aches with fear that they will fall in and something terrible will happen.

As for me, I have a severe infection and swelling in my feet that prevents me from walking or working, and I cannot afford the treatment. On top of all this, we have accumulated debts exceeding 600,000 Yemeni rials (approximately $1,300) due to buying food and basic necessities on credit.

O people of good will… O you in whose hearts God has placed mercy… I am pleading with you today, for God sees our situation and hears our cries. If you do not extend a helping hand, I may lose my children one by one to hunger, cold, and illness.

The goal of this campaign is to raise $5,000 to cover the following needs:

Providing food and water for my children who go to bed hungry.

Renting a simple house to replace our dilapidated tent.

School supplies so my children can continue their education instead of losing their future.

Winter clothes to protect them from the bitter cold.

Treatment for my feet so I can stand, work, and care for my children.

Paying off the accumulated debts that have become a nightmare for us.
