Fatima and Grady are an amazing couple who want to grow their family. Over the past three years, they have sunk their hearts and their own funds into doing that, and now they need your help to move forward. Like many, they are living with insurance that won’t cover medically necessary IVF procedures and medications.



has been a Program Director/cheer & dance coach for over 15 years in the Northern Virginia area, working with children ages 3-18. Grady facilitates two important DC-area programs: Father's in Touch and Be Proud, Be Responsible, working with both adults and children alike.  They are energetic, joyful, loving, and long to become parents. They have spent over a decade serving families in the Capitol region, and it’s time for their kindness to come back around to them.


After initially trying less invasive and costly procedures like IUI, it became clear that Fatima and Grady needed to move on to IVF. Fatima has endured egg harvesting procedures, hundreds of injections, and both Fatima and Grady have agonized through unsuccessful cycles with each other's support. They were able to create an initial batch of embryos, but only one attempt at a viable pregnancy. Now, they have used all their embryos and need to begin the costly and difficult process from scratch.


 

I was drawn to help Fatima and Grady because Fatima’s mother, Remie, is a brilliant and compassionate nurse who has overseen infusion therapy for my father for years. Remie has cared for my family, and my family wants to care for hers. When I met Fatima over the phone, I could hear both the frustration and the hope in her voice.
