Greeting everyone,
On November 15 of 2018 my beloved husband was admitted to the hospital for two weeks and got diagnosed with stage four of kidney failure which recently moved to stage five in the past couple of days. He has been on dialysis for 18 months and it has been the toughest experience my beloved family, including my four beautiful children and myself has gone through.
My Husband Camerino felt very tired and drained all the time. He recently began to do peritoneal dialysis, which made his body function a little bit better bringing hope to our lives. The reason why I am asking for your help is because Camerino is the source of our income. He works as an assistant manager at a restaurant called Luby’s in Eagle Pass Texas, our sweet home. Due to the Covid -19 pandemic, the restaurant will be closing many stores, leaving us with no income to cover the expenses of the surgery. When his younger sister Noemy, who lives in Chicago, IL volunteered to donate her kidney to him, we were all happy and thrilled.
We had enough fundings to fly her to Eagle Pass Texas and a surgery date was established on March 25th but sadly due to the Covid- 19 pandemic, the surgery got postponed many times. Causing us all of our savings and fundings we had set aside for the surgery on traveling expenses for the younger sister. Since every time it got postponed we had to send her back home.
On May 03, 2020 was the recent date for the surgery. We all had hoped that this would be it, but Camerino's sister, Noemy got Covid-19 making the surgery postponed once more. Two weeks later and Noemy recovered and got sent home once more awaiting for another attempt on the surgery.
We recently got the new surgery date. On July 8th 2020 Noemy will give another go on donating her kidney to her big brother. But now we are low on funds. No matter how many obstacles will come in our way, I will not lose hope on this opportunity God has given us. This fundraiser will be used to cover the expenses for my husband’s kidney transplant including Bills, transportation expenses, and medical bills.
A beloved Father, Husband, and Brother needs your help. Any amount will help and may God bless you all!
Sincerely,
The Avila Family.
