Dear Friends, Family, and Community, Marya Vande-Doyle and Bill Doyle are organizing this fundraiser for our lifelong friends, Father Dmitry and Maureen Wieber. Father Dmitry has ALS, and the disease has progressed rapidly, confining him to a power wheelchair. Even though Father Dmitry remains joyful and deeply thankful for all the prayers, love, and support he and his family have received, the realities of daily life have become much more difficult. Simple trips outside the home now require them to rent a wheelchair van at a very high rate. (Medical transportation will only take him to medical appointments.) The family urgently needs a reliable used wheelchair-accessible van so Father Dmitry can safely attend church, spend time at family gatherings, and enjoy outings. The funds will help purchase and maintain the vehicle and support other needs related to Father Dmitry’s care and comfort. Marya and Bill are asking the community to come together to bring Father Dmitry greater peace, mobility, and dignity during this final journey.
