A group of outsiders, weirdos, queers, beats, and bums all find each other, and something about it feels cosmic.
We're Fatal Femmes, a rock n' roll band from Seattle: Zoey Gulotta (vocals), Lincoln Rasmussen (guitar), Cassius Foote (bass), Andrew Atkinson (synth), Jameson Sanborn (drums), and Rogan Kahale (baritone sax). Our music is raw, lyrical rock n' roll, in the spirit of Patti Smith, Morphine and Mannequin Pussy.
I'm Zoey, and I write our songs. I started this band at Berklee. I grew up in New York, and in September 2025, I moved across the country to Seattle to do this full time. I write about childhood abuse, rebellion and love, and I perform it through belting, harmony, screaming and spoken word poetry. Every person in this band is essential to telling these stories. We make our own rules, we don't fit in anyone's box, and we live for this art. It's not a side passion. It's our lives.
We played our first show on Halloween 2025. Less than a year later, we'd played the Museum of Pop Culture and Capitol Hill Block Party.
In January, before our first studio sessions, we started this fundraiser. Twenty-four of you gave $2,436, and it got us into the studio. We paid for everything else ourselves.
Here's what you helped build: half of our debut album is recorded and mastered. Four songs, "A Gentle Warning," "Backstabber," "Concept" and "Sally May," are finished, recorded and mixed by Ken Stringfellow (The Posies, R.E.M., Big Star) and mastered by Howie Weinberg (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jeff Buckley, Fiona Apple, Soundgarden, Ween). We wrote and filmed a music video for each one, independently, with real crews.
Since January, we've:
- Played the Museum of Pop Culture and Capitol Hill Block Party, and are booked for more national showcase festivals in 2027
- Sold out our Portland debut at Swan Dive
- Played rooms of 300 people
- Toured the Pacific Northwest: Bellingham, Tacoma, Olympia, Portland and Spokane
- Organized our own independent rock festival at the Punk Rock Flea Market: 7 bands, local sponsors, 250+ tickets sold
- Been featured in Seattle Gay News, PlayXEar and The Daily UW
"Beautiful yet haunting vocals... a siren's song luring a sailor to the abyss." — Seattle Gay News
"She communicates so personally yet universally that anyone can listen and apply it to themselves." — PlayXEar
On October 29–31, we go back into the studio to finish the album. Here's what this fundraiser covers:
- Three 12-hour studio days: $1,950
- Mixing with Ken Stringfellow and mastering with Howie Weinberg for our last four songs: $2,400
- Paying down our four music videos: $1,214
That's the last $5,564 we need to reach our goal. We're covering the rest through shows and merch sales: the remaining video costs, pressing CDs and vinyl, and getting the record out into the world.
We don't have a label or an investor. Every step so far has been paid for by us and by people like you, who came to a show, told a friend, sang along from the front row or moshed from the second. This album is ours, and it's yours too.
If you can give, any amount gets us closer. If you can't, sharing this page helps just as much.
We'll post updates from the studio so you can watch it come together. Our singles hit streaming services in early 2027.
Want to hear the songs early? Our singles, limited edition CDs, and merch packages are on Bandcamp at https://fatalfemmes.bandcamp.com/album/four-unreleased-singles. Or, individual merch items are available for purchase at https://www.fatalfemmes.com/merch.
Thank you for believing in us before it was finished. The world needs rock n' roll!
With love, Zoey and Fatal Femmes
