Help Farrah Afford Breast Cancer Treatments
Donation protected
My wife, Farrah, was diagnosed with breast cancer last year at 35. We were unable to qualify for financial assistance to cover treatment and are now deep in debt after two surgeries.
We had to delay further treatment until test results for her fertility came back as we had hopes of freezing eggs so we could still have children, and cancer treatments would cause ovarian shutdown. However, the results have confirmed that her ovaries are no longer functioning, so she can go any direction with treatment now.
At this point, the cancer has spread to several lymph nodes, and more tests have been scheduled to determine how far it may have spread. She will most likely be undergoing hormone therapy as the cancer is er+, but may have to undergo chemotherapy treatments if the cancer has metastasized to any organs. She may also need at least one more surgery.
We are also trying to maintain a home regimen of diet and supplements to both ease symptoms and impede tumor growth.
All of this has put us in a very difficult financial situation as we are already in debt for the surgeries so far with more expensive therapies and procedures to come. The diet and supplements are also quite expensive. Farrah has had to cut her time at work down significantly, but still has not been approved for financial assistance.
Any help, even just sharing, would be greatly appreciated. This is a very scary situation for our entire family and we just can’t give up.
