My name is Reema Matar a US citizen who lives in Laguna Niguel, California. I'm running this campaign on behalf of my cousin Fares Matar in order to help him and his sisters to pursue their dream in continuing their education journey after they fleet from Gaza to Egypt to save their lives.

My name is Fares Matar, and I'm from the resilient lands of Palestine-Gaza. I'm an internship doctor at the Al-Shifa medical complex, where I've witnessed the devastating toll of war firsthand since 7th October. But beyond the walls of our hospital, my family and I have endured our own struggles, and now we turn to you, seeking a glimmer of hope in the darkness of conflict.

My family is my anchor amidst the chaos – my parents, my three sisters, and my brother. We are not just names or numbers; they are the pillars of strength that hold me upright even in the face of adversity.

But our dreams were shattered since the 7th of October. We are forced to flee from north to south Gaza, and now we find ourselves in Egypt, far from the echoes of bombs but not from the memories that haunt us. My father, along with my uncles and their families, still remain in Gaza, facing the relentless challenges of survival. Tragically, we lost my beloved uncle and his daughter in the chaos, a wound that still festers in our hearts.

Education has always been our most important goal. My parents have sacrificed and invested so much in our education to help us to achieve our dreams of studying engineering, medicine, and dentistry. But now, our education has been cruelly interrupted by this endless conflict, and our dreams hang in the balance.

Our home, once a sanctuary, now stands in ruins, mirroring the shattered pieces of our aspirations. My father, the backbone of our family, lost his source of income, leaving us stranded, grappling with the harsh realities of displacement. Yet, amidst the rubble, hope persists – a hope fueled by your compassion and generosity.

We are not merely victims of circumstance; we are fighters, resilient souls determined to rebuild what war has torn asunder. My father's sacrifices for our education echo in every lecture hall, in every textbook we pore over.
