Help Fancy Live a Pain-Free Life

As a TNR trapper in the central Texas area for the last 20 years, I often come across cats in need, but in this case, I need help in working to ensure Fancy a pain-free life.

Emaciated and in extremely poor condition, Fancy was found wandering through a housing community looking for scraps of food. Weighing only five pounds, this street cat was quickly scooped up and taken for a veterinary examination where she was diagnosed with severe stomatitis.

Stomatitis is an extremely painful oral condition in cats that makes it often impossible to eat and affects their quality of life. The oral cavity becomes red and ulcerated and can affect the tongue, gums, and throat. The recommended treatment for stomatitis is a full mouth dental extraction. After removing the teeth, most cats usually adapt well and start eating, gaining weight, and grooming once more.

Fancy has now had all her teeth removed and is recovering. Her vet bills have already reached $1,175, and she will need additional vet visits to take further x-rays, medications, and continued monitoring of her recovery. I truly need help with Fancy’s veterinary costs which are estimated to be $1,500. Please help me ensure Fancy finally knows that life can be pain-free.
