Help Family with Children Survive the War in Gaza
Donation protected
Dear friends and family,
My mother's extended family is trapped in Gaza. Her niece and nephew, who lost their father (my uncle) as a result of the war are in a desperate situation with their partners and children. They are a group of 9 people who are sick, cold, and desperate to get out of Gaza to safety. Their story in their own words follows below. Please help raise the money needed to get them to Egypt.

In the midst of despair and heartache, I reach out to you with a plea to help rescue my family from the harrowing situation in Gaza. I am Reham Elwakeel, an English teacher, a mother, and a wife, living in the shadows of the danger that engulfed our home.
Our peaceful life was shattered when our house was destroyed during a bombing, forcing us to escape with our lives. Now, with my family of nine, including my two precious children, we seek refuge in Rafah, south of Gaza, facing scarcity of resources and the looming threat of a ground invasion.
The nights are cold, and my children are sick without warm clothes or proper nourishment. I once dreamt of teaching my son Joe to ride a bike, but now my lessons focus on calming his fears amid the sounds of war. The simple joys of childhood are replaced with the harsh reality of survival.
My father and father-in-law suffered injuries during the bombing, and we tragically lost my father-in-law. My father urgently needs surgery, but the lack of medical supplies adds to our struggle.
I implore your kind hearts to join hands in our desperate cry for help. Our only chance to escape this darkness is through evacuation to Egypt, a journey that demands $5000 USD per adult and $2500 USD per child. Your generosity can be the lifeline that saves my family and shows the world the strength of compassion and unity.
I appreciate your support, for in helping us, you are not just providing financial aid; you are offering hope, love, and a chance at life. Your kindness can be the beacon that guides us out of this nightmare.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Reham Elwakeel
