Hi friends and familia,

My dearest friend Jennifer, KP, lost one of her sons last week. Kirpal Singh Padda, or Paulie/Pauly - as he was known to many of his friends, passed away in Bakersfield, CA on Friday, July 31st. He is survived by his mother, father, two sisters and three brothers, and his grandparents on both sides of the family, as well as his aunts and uncles.

Paulie was born on September 2nd, 1999 and was 20 years old at the time of his passing. He was a kind and quiet guy, but also incredibly funny and mischievous. When things were difficult he always knew how to bring everyone together, often from laughing at something crazy he had done. He was incredibly strong willed, but also gentle, with the patience of a saint. He was also crazy smart and creative and an incredible impressionist. Though he was a quieter soul, he managed to touch a lot of people’s lives and made many friends along the way. He was truly beloved, and his wonderful and unique spirit will be missed so very dearly by his family and friends.

To commemorate his time here on this earth and honor the giving soul that he was, his family wants to have trees planted in a devastated forest region, to help spur new growth and life. Once again, Paulie will make things better just because of who he was.

In this time of grieving, it would be incredibly helpful to his family not to have to worry about coming up with the money for his cremation, urn, and commemoration. I have also added a little bit to the amount to allow for them to have some food delivered as in better times we would be able to drop dishes off to tide them over while they mourn their loss and tend to these things. I hope we can come together and ease their burden just this little bit. Much love to all of you and peace be with you and your loved ones.
