Hi guys. I might have to close the Etsy shop, or at least stay closed for a while... I’m not sure what to do. We had to leave CA asap because of a family emergency. I had to get Kai and my toddler, Lily onto a plane and across the country with the help of my grandma. I haven’t seen my mom or my grandma in 3 years. We are staying in an attic room at my moms but I’m not sure how long we can stay here. I don’t have a vehicle to get things that we need, and we’ve only got a few outfits. If anyone knows me I will not get rid of Kai. He’s Lily’s best friend and my hero at this point. He’s more than just a kitty. This morning around 10am, I got a phone call from my ex-boyfriend (he was the one driving what was left of our belongings back) saying that the U-Haul, and all of our belongings has been stolen from a hotel in Arizona (containing all of our Etsy supplies also, and everything I just bought with the money to double our chances of leaving) ... everything that we own is gone. Every penny that we had is gone. There are three packages that he was supposed to send out weeks ago. And he won’t send them. I’m going to have to get with you 3 to place a refund over PayPal while I still have the funds to do that. This shop was all that kept me happy during hard times and it helped get Kai to the vet when he was sick. I hope to be doing portraits soon if I can borrow a laptop. Everything that we own is gone. I just need to focus on getting my toddler and Kai some place safe & secure in life.
I had typed this up and shared photos and videos along our journey and shared everything that has happened over our Instagram pages. I was encouraged to try to raise some donations to help with clothes and getting food, as well as taking care of things in the new town that we are in. I lost all of my Etsy supplies (how I made my income and my last hope) and I’m hoping to start again so that we can get into our own place. I’m now a single mom without transportation or a vehicle that really needs to get into a one bedroom apartment soon for our little family. Thank you for reading about us... and an even bigger thank you to those that have found us and have been checking in on us every single day through these tragic events. I hate to do this and I’m going to get items to begin working on the pet bandanas and bow ties as soon as I can!! I can’t wait to start that again. I want to put my all into it and give back to shelters and raise my daughter to be compassionate and show her how to heal things. I’m so happy she won’t be able to remember all of this. All of this will be a story to her. Anything I can do to generate income, get us food, medical coverage, to be able to get a vehicle to get my daughter around, and into our own place is what I’m focusing on. One day at a time.
