Help My Family Rebuild After a Devastating House Fire
Just one day after my family spent Easter, Parker’s and Jennette’s Birthday together at my grandmother's home my family’s world was turned upside down by an unimaginably devastating event. A catastrophic fire tore through my grandmother’s home and car, reducing it to ashes within minutes. My grandmother (Gloria), my aunt (Jennette), and my cousin (Parker) not only lost the roof over their heads—they lost everything they owned. Every memory, every family photo, every keepsake... gone.
The fire was reported all over the news and can be found here. https://kdvr.com/news/local/plume-of-black-smoke-visible-from-fire-in-westminster-neighborhood/ & https://www.denverpost.com/2025/04/21/westminster-house-fire-stuart-street/
They also lost three cherished members of our family—their sweet adopted cats, Eclipse, Sundae, and Kiki—who tragically didn’t make it out in time.
These cats weren’t just pets but support for my grandmother as she fights her battle with medical treatments. They were deeply loved companions who brought comfort, warmth, and joy through some of our hardest times. Their absence has left a hole in all of our hearts.
This home held generations of love. It was where birthdays were celebrated, where we gathered on holidays, and where laughter echoed in every corner. To see it gone so suddenly is beyond devastating as we walked through the rumble and ashes yesterday.
Despite the heartbreak, we are incredibly grateful that no human lives were lost. But my family is now facing the unimaginable challenge of starting over with absolutely nothing. Clothes, furniture, medications, important documents—everything was lost in the fire.
We’re asking for your help to give them a chance to rebuild.
Your donation—no matter the size—will go directly toward:
- Securing safe and stable temporary housing
- Replacing essential items like clothing, bedding, and personal care products
- Covering the costs of replacing medications and medical equipment and a car to get to treatments.
- Rebuilding from the ground up with furniture and household basics
- Honoring Eclipse, Sundae, and Kiki with cremation and keepsakes of their ashes.
- Medical expenses and support for my grandmother.
This has been a nightmare we never saw coming. But together, we can help write the next chapter for my grandmother, aunt, and cousin—one filled with hope, healing, and the strength of community.
If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this campaign with your friends, family, and community.
Every act of kindness matters more than you know.
From the bottom of our hearts—thank you. ❤️
