Help family pay for hospital and health expenses

Hello everyone! Our names are Gabby and Beverly and we’re opening this fundraiser to help our parents pay off our current accumulated debts and and our dad’s health expenses. We owe a tremendous amount of money and decided to give GoFundMe a try in hopes of raising enough money to pay pending hospital bills, living expenses, and accommodations we’ve had to make to ensure our dad is well taken care of. Our dad, as shown in the picture, had 4 strokes towards the end of December (a few weeks after being diagnosed with diabetes) which ultimately paralyzed half of his entire body. As a result, he contracted an eye infection in his right eye and has to take over 10 medications per day to control his diabetes and prevent him from having another stroke. He’s also unable to speak properly, walk, eat, or do any basic day to day functions. Luckily our insurance was able to cover most of the hospital expenses but we still owe over $2K. Our dad is the only one who knew how to drive so we’ve been struggling to find sources of transportation to his doctor appointments and therapies, so we usually spend $40-$60 on cabs per session. His follow up doctor appointments and check ups usually cost +$300, which isn’t completely covered by insurance. Our dad has always been the main person in charge of managing all our expenses and while he was hospitalized, we found out we owe over $20k in house taxes and an additional $6K in delayed bills. On top of that, we’re still currently in the process of paying off our dad’s truck which is nearly $500 per month plus car insurance. Our mom has continuously applied for food stamps but has unfortunately gotten all her applications denied to this day. We’ve been living  paycheck to paycheck  and the money isn’t sufficient to cover all the added expenses and debts we need to pay off. Our mom is currently unemployed and will most likely remain that way since she’s the main person taking care of our dad right now. We are full time students and I (Gabby) will be entering college this fall but it isn’t looking very promising due to our current circumstances. We are very grateful our dad is still receiving his paycheck, but due to his given condition he won’t be returning to work for a minimum of 6 months which could affect his paychecks over time or even result in a paid leave.
