Early in the morning of September 8th, I received a text from my daughter half the country away - one of my grandsons had been hit by a car. Horrible, agonizing hours passed while I waited for more information.
This was just the latest in a series of events.
My daughter already struggles with several life threatening medical issues requiring regular infusions, among other medical support - including a Service Dog in training - and can no longer work or drive. Unfortunately, her insurance company just denied coverage of her life saving Dexcom device, which costs several hundred dollars a month.
Over the past two months, one grandson was the victim of financial fraud of several thousand dollars of school monies, another had surgery, their car broke down...twice, and my son in law has now received notice his work contract has ended!
That's A LOT on a young family - mentally, emotionally, physically, and financially!
This is not a lazy family. This is a proud Veteran family that has been dealt with more blows in a short period of time than they can tackle alone.
I'm hoping to gather enough of us together to help lighten the financial weight and current uncertainty a little bit.
Please help if you can! Prayers and shares welcome, too.
