As a friend of someone who has recently experienced a tremendous loss, I am reaching out to the community for help. My best friend, Danielle, her husband, Troy, and their two daughters, ages 2 years old and almost 3 months old, experienced a devastating house fire on Thursday, March 14th. Everyone made it out safe, and for that we are incredibly grateful. The damage, however, is quite extensive and they lost most of their possessions. They have no choice but to start over and begin to rebuild their lives.

Danielle and Troy are some of the kindest and most caring people I know and their family does not deserve to go through this hardship. This situation is particularly difficult, as Danielle recently gave birth to a beautiful baby girl just a few months ago. Adjusting to family life with a newborn is an incredible task in itself, but when your comfort and resources are taken in the blink of an eye the hardship is unimaginable, and the girls are too young to understand why they can't go home. The mental load Troy and Danielle are facing is one I hope we never have to, but I'm hoping we can ease their burden. Their generosity has touched many lives and I'd love to return the favor.

I was able to witness the damage first hand. Anything the fire didn't physically touch is too damaged by smoke to be useable. This made my decision to start GoFundMe campaign an easy one.
