Donation protected
This campaign is raising funds to help sustain a father stuck in Gaza while supporting his wife and 3 children who evacuated from Gaza to Egypt last March.
Anas, 36 years old (father)
Yasmine, 33 years old (mother)
Abd Alrahman, 13 years old
Yazan, 10 years
Julia, 3 years old
The budget is as follows and will cover November - January to start:
Nov ’24 - Jan ’25
1- House rent for Anas in Gaza (1000*3 months) = $3000
2- Food and drink for Anas in Gaza (2500*3 months) = $7500
3- House rent, food, and drink for my wife and children in Egypt (1800*3 months) = $10800
Subtotal:
The commission for sending dollars to Egypt is $45 per transfer. We will transfer in batches of $5000.
Total / 5000 = (5) x $45 = $225
Commission for sending dollars to Gaza (25%) = (21300*0.25 = $5,325)
Total $26,850
Budget Update 2/11/25: Adding needed funds for February and March 2025, $3000 per month for a total of an additional 6,000.
New Total = $26,850 + $6000 = $32,850
These funds will be wired from Santa Cruz, California USA to the family's bank account opened in Egypt after the mother and kids evacuated.
Budget Update 3/30/25: Adding needed funds for April-June 2025, $3500 per month for a total of an additional 10,500.
New Total = $32,850 + $10,500 = $43,350
Budget Update 5/16/25: Adding needed funds for April-June 2025, because $3500 per month hasn't been enough due to the inflation resulting from the full aid blockade that began on March 2.
New Total = $43,350 + 5,000 = $48,350
Budget Update 5/26/25: Adding another $250/day for two month period to cover increased inflation as the humanitarian aid blockade persists. These funds help the father stuck in Gaza afford basic foods, while still supporting rent and food for his wife, children, mother and sister.

New Total = $48,350 + $15,000 = $63,350
These funds will be wired from Santa Cruz, California USA to the family's bank account opened in Egypt after the mother and kids evacuated.
Thank you for your continued support, it means the world to this beautiful family. Let's help these children hug their dad again.
In solidarity,
Caroline

About me, the administrator and money sender:
I'm Caroline, a Jewish-American activist from California, USA. I met Anas last February when his family was all still stuck in Gaza. One month later with an impending Rafah ground invasion the family made the heart-breaking decision to evacuate their homeland without the father. Before Anas could escape and join them, the borders were seized by Israel and he was trapped. Over the past 8 months, I've watched the wife and kids to rebuild in Egypt without their dad, while Anas continues to weather horrifying conditions in Gaza, supporting his family from afar. It has been a privilege and a journey witnessing the family survive this marathon. It has broken my heart a million times, and has also inspired me persevere and always be grateful. That is something I've heard again and again from Palestinians, some of the greatest teachers of grace, integrity and human-kindness I've met to date. Feel free to email me with any questions you may have!
