Help Family of 5 Find Place to Live
My dear friend Michelle had everything she has worked tirelessly for taken from her on February 13th. A fire at her apartment complex in Warwick broke out and forced all the tenants to evacuate. Thankfully, everyone made it out safely, but the apartment building was deemed non-livable for the next 3-6 months.
Red Cross has set the tenants up in a hotel for the next few days but, Michelle has no idea what she is going to do when they must leave. That is why I am making this GoFundMe for her because I know she is far too humble to ask for help herself.
Those who are blessed to know Michelle know that she has not always had the easiest hand dealt for her, but she has always tackled life’s challenges head on. She just recently turned 29 years old and holds two long-term jobs to support her little family— two school aged children and a toddler. She has worked day in and day out for years to build the life her 3 children deserve. Now, she and her boyfriend Corey are in a 2-bedroom hotel room with no idea what the next few weeks will bring.
Michelle has always inspired me with her resilience, but this is not something that even the strongest person can just bounce back from, at least not without some help! I am asking my friends, family, acquaintances and strangers to support this couple and their children in reclaiming their sense of security back. Their furniture, their clothes, their keepsakes— everything in their first floor apartment is damaged from the smoke and will need to be professionally cleaned and washed. They will need to replace their necessities and find new housing as soon as possible. I know times are hard for many of us financially but if you could spare even $1.00, it will add up in the long run.
I can without a doubt say that the gratitude her family will have for any monetary donation or simply sharing this link will be immense. Thank you so much in advance!!!
