Help family lay Dale “Captain Smooth” to rest

Donation protected
My name is Vicki Orman, Dale’s wife of twenty years. Many times we would discuss our thoughts and wishes when the time came for us to leave this life and begin a new journey. We would say we needed to start a savings account to cover the expenses, but we always thought there was plenty of time for that...we always found something else that was more important..after all, time was on our side.
Unfortunately, time ran out on 11/11/2021 . Dale was taken to the hospital via an ambulance and once there his heart stopped. He was revived but was unable to breathe on his own, life support was hooked up to him. His most loyal friend Evan Barry and his life partner Veronica stayed by my side and lovingly by Dales. As difficult as it was, we together stayed true to what Dale wanted.. we cried when life support was turned off. Evan and Veronica stood on his right side, whispering their goodbyes while I was on his left side. I held his hand and stroked his face and head and whispered in his ear how much I loved him and how much he would be missed. He took his last breath at 6:30 p.m.
The hole in my heart is almost too much to bare..he was not a perfect man, he had his faults, as we all do, but the beauty of this man was how he could captivate anyone in hearing distance with his war stories and with his many stories of the years he rode in the Dirty Dozen MC. Dale was a very talented tattoo artist and many of today’s great tattoo artists had worked beside him in his shop. Dale never held back his knowledge from which he gained from the greats of his era. He was proud of each and every one he worked with, to him he was the lucky one to have been in the presence of these guys; Arron, Tim, Evan, Sean, Johnny, Shagg and so many others (I wish my head was clear so that I could mention those others he thought so much of). Dale was a proud father of a wonderful man, Kane Dale and a grandfather of a most beautiful girl named Macy. Dale had many loves in his life, Val, his first wife, Suzy, his third wife, his second..not so much, and me his fourth and last..and our love for him continued through the years. Dale’s first love was his motorcycle and for many, many years his brothers in the Dozen. When he retired he dedicated all his time to his tattoo shop until it became too difficult to see clearly. He retired from tattooing with no regrets.
I could go on and on about my husband because he was an icon and though there were some pretty rough times over the years, I always knew I was in the presence of a very special person.
I would like to lay him to rest in the Veterans cemetery and although the VA pays for most..they do not pay for all, and that is what I would do with the money that is raised and pay some bills that will be due because the VA will pull his compensation money he was given this month, with no regard to outstanding checks.
Thank you for your help no matter the amount, it will be greatly appreciated.
