Hello. My name is Shani and I live in Los Angeles but I am raising funds for my family in Westmoreland, Jamaica who are all alive (thank God) but whose homes have lost roofs and suffered structural and water damage from Hurricane Melissa.

This money will go directly to family in Belmont and Savanna la Mar for their immediate relief, access to food, and to help them begin to manage the damages and rebuild their homes. There is currently no water or electricity and limited cell service. The road to recovery is long for Westmoreland as roads are blocked, hospitals have suffered damages, they do not know when to expect electricity back, and resources are low.

I will also be sending down barrels for my family, their neighbors and their community with nonperishable food and toiletries/hygiene products.
