Hi my name is Keivanna currently living in Canada, and my family is from Jamaica. I have relatives in St. James and Westmoreland who were deeply affected by the recent category 5 hurricane.
I was just in Jamaica this year, and I can’t even imagine what my family is going through. My grandma’s sister who is 86 and living with Alzheimer’s, lost nearly everything. Her home is completely destroyed, mud covers the floor, and furniture is demolished. My uncle and other family members nearby faced some destruction as well and loss of electricity and water.
Jamaica has given so much, its vibrant culture, warmth, and the resilience of its people. Now it’s time to give back. I want to help my family recover, and also support others in the community who have been affected.
Your donation will go directly toward:
- Rebuilding homes and repairing damage
- Replacing essential items like food, clothing, and bedding
- Purchasing cleaning and medical supplies
- Supporting other community members in St. James who are struggling to recover
Every dollar makes a real difference. Together, we can bring hope, stability, and a chance to rebuild to those who have lost so much.
I will be posting updates on how donations are being used and the progress of the recovery here so you can see the direct impact of your support.
Thank you so much for your kindness, prayers, and generosity during this incredibly difficult time.
