Our Palestinian/Dutch friend employed by a human rights organization in The Hague, Netherlands, enjoyed a peaceful life until October 2023. He set aside his own life to return and assist the children of Gaza, who are experiencing unimaginable trauma and loss. By mobilizing people to bring light into the darkness of the current Gaza reality, A w n i has diligently worked through the P H R C

The Israeli army is now planning to invade Rafah, the dire circumstances and the escalating impact of the war in its new stage are worsening daily, exacerbated by harsh winter conditions that are affecting the health of his parents and loved ones. Having exhausted all official channels for evacuating his family without success, A w n i is left with what appears to be the only viable option—paying to have his family's names included on an evacuation list, enabling them to seek temporary refuge in Egypt for recovery and safety.

A w n i's family urgently needs your help. They lost their home early in this war, and the 16 family members that survived have been residing in a refugee camp close to Rafah, struggling to sustain life. In the current situation, their only path to safety is crossing the border into Egypt, but this comes at a high cost.

Throughout this challenging time, A w n i continues to support Gazan children through his vital trauma relief work with the PHRC. Now, we aim to reciprocate by helping his family. We all deserve to live in peace with our families, which is why we invite you to join us in getting his family to safety.

The company facilitating travel from Gaza to Egypt, Hala company, has offered their paid service since 2019, ensuring secure border crossings from Gaza to Egypt. Despite substantial price hikes in recent months and ongoing fluctuations, we firmly assert that, at present, this remains the sole viable option for A w n i's family to reach safety in Egypt. Not utilizing this service would entail subjecting them to further suffering and an increased risk of death amid the worsening circumstances. Nevertheless, we want to start raising funds with the information available.

The funds will be allocated as follows:

Crossing permits to Egypt: The Egyptian government has recently begun formalizing a mechanism to allow Palestinians to cross the Rafah border into Egypt. These permits come with enormous fees, and the fixed price, paid to Egyptian officials facilitated by Hala company, is yet to be determined. Nevertheless, we want to start raising funds with the information available.

Because there is currently no structural international aid for Palestinians in Egypt and no guarantees of peace in Gaza, we also collect money for living expenses in Egypt for a period of 6 months.

Onze Palestijns/Nederlandse vriend A w ni , werkzaam bij een mensenrechtenorganisatie in Den Haag, Nederland, genoot tot oktober 2023 een vredig leven. Hij zette zijn eigen leven opzij om terug te keren en de kinderen van Gaza bij te staan, die onvoorstelbare trauma's en verliezen ervaren. Door mensen te mobiliseren om licht te brengen in de duisternis van de huidige realiteit in Gaza en door cruciale medische voorzieningen veilig te stellen, heeft A w n i ijverig gewerkt via het Palestine Humanitarian Response-initiatief.

De erbarmelijke omstandigheden en de escalerende impact van de oorlog in zijn nieuwe fase worden dagelijks erger, nog verergerd door barre winterse omstandigheden die de gezondheid van zijn ouders en dierbaren aantasten. Nadat hij alle officiële kanalen heeft uitgeput om zijn gezin zonder succes te evacueren, blijft A w n i achter met wat de enige haalbare optie lijkt: betalen om de namen van zijn familie op een evacuatielijst te laten zetten, waardoor ze een tijdelijk toevluchtsoord in Egypte kunnen zoeken voor herstel en veiligheid.

A w ni's familie heeft dringend jouw hulp nodig. Ze verloren hun huis al vroeg in deze oorlog, en de overlevende zestien leden verblijven in een vluchtelingenkamp in de buurt van Rafah, waar ze worstelen om in leven te blijven. In de huidige situatie is hun enige weg naar veiligheid het oversteken van de grens met Egypte, maar dit brengt hoge kosten met zich mee.

Gedurende deze uitdagende tijd blijft A w n i kinderen uit Gaza steunen via zijn cruciale traumahulpwerk bij de PHRC . Nu willen we een antwoord geven door zijn familie te helpen. We verdienen het allemaal om in vrede te leven met onze families, daarom nodigen wij u uit om samen met ons zijn gezin in veiligheid te brengen.

Het bedrijf dat reizen van Gaza naar Egypte faciliteert, Hala company, biedt hun betaalde service sinds 2019 aan, waarbij zij zorgen voor veilige grensovergang van Gaza naar Egypte. Ondanks aanzienlijke prijsstijgingen in de afgelopen maanden en aanhoudende schommelingen, stellen we krachtig dat dit momenteel de enige levensvatbare optie is voor het gezin van A w n i om veiligheid in Egypte te bereiken. Het niet gebruiken van deze service zou betekenen dat zij worden blootgesteld aan verder lijden en een verhoogd risico op overlijden te midden van de verslechterende omstandigheden. Daarom willen we beginnen met het inzamelen van fondsen met de beschikbare informatie.

De middelen worden als volgt verdeeld:

Oversteken van vergunningen naar Egypte: De Egyptische regering is onlangs begonnen met het formaliseren van een mechanisme waarmee Palestijnen de grens bij Rafah naar Egypte kunnen oversteken. Aan deze vergunningen zijn enorme kosten verbonden, en de vaste prijs die aan Egyptische functionarissen wordt betaald gefaciliteerd door Hala company, moet nog worden vastgesteld. Toch willen we met de beschikbare informatie fondsen gaan werven.

Omdat er op dit moment geen structurele internationale hulp is voor Palestijnen in Egypte en geen garanties van vrede in Gaza, verzamelen wij ook geld voor levenskosten in Egypte voor een periode van 6 maanden.

Notre ami Palestinien Awni, employé d’une organisation humanitaire et de défense des droits de l’homme à La Haye, aux Pays Bas, vivait une vie paisible jusqu’à octobre 2023. Il a mis de côté cette vie pour retourner à Gaza et fournir de l’aide, entre autres, aux enfants de Gaza, qui aujourd’hui font face à une souffrance et des traumatismes inimaginables. En travaillant sans relâche pour sa campagne Palestine Humanitarian Response, il essaie d’apporter un peu de lumière au milieu du chaos actuel.

L’armée israélienne prévoit aujourd’hui d’envahir Rafah, les conséquences de la guerre pour les habitants et déplacés empirent chaque jour, et sont exacerbées par des conditions hivernales difficiles qui affectent la santé de ses proches. Après avoir épuisé sans succès toutes les voies de recours afin d’évacuer les membres de sa famille, une seule solution s’offre à lui aujourd’hui: payer afin que leurs noms soient inscrits sur la liste d’évacuation, et de leur permettre de se mettre à l’abri temporairement en Égypte.

La famille d’A w n i a besoin de votre aide urgente. Après avoir perdu leur maison au début de la guerre, les 16 membres de la famille qui ont survécu vivent aujourd’hui dans un camp de réfugiés près de Rafah, luttant chaque jours pour rester en vie. Dans la situation actuelle, le seul moyen pour qu’ils soient enfin en sécurité est qu’ils puissent franchir la frontière avec l’ Égypte, mais cela a un prix.

Tout au long de ces temps difficiles, A w n i continue d’apporter son aide aux enfants de Gaza grâce à son travail crucial au travers de la campagne Palestine Humanitarian Response. Aujourd’hui, nous souhaitons, en retour, aider sa famille. Chacun mérite de vivre en paix avec sa famille, et c’est pourquoi nous vous invitons à nous rejoindre afin de mettre sa famille en sécurité.

L’agence qui prend en charge le passage de Gaza en Égypte, la compagnie Hala, permet à ses clients depuis 2019 de passer la frontière de manière sûre. En dépit d’une augmentation et une variation des prix ces derniers mois, nous considérons que c’est aujourd’hui la seule solution viable pour que la famille d’A w n i puisse se réfugier en sécurité en Égypte. Ne pas recourir à cette solution ne ferait que les exposer à plus de souffrance et à un risqué accru de danger de mort au vue des circonstances qui empirent de jour en jour. Néanmoins, nous tenons à commencer cette collecte de fonds tout en vous communiquant les informations en notre possession.

Les fonds seront employés ainsi :

Permis pour passer la frontière avec l’ Égypte : le gouvernement égyptien a récemment commencé à officialiser une procédure d’autorisation du passage de la frontière vers de l’ Égypte pour les Palestiniens au poste de Rafah. Ces permis ont un coût exorbitant, et le prix exact payé aux officiels égyptiens par l’intermédiaire de l’agence Hala, n’est pas connu d’avance. Néanmoins nous souhaitons commencer la collecte de fonds sur la base des informations à notre disposition aujourd’hui.
