Hello,
My name is Sarah Ebanks and I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of my husband Oshae Ebanks.
(Leo)
Oshae is from Treasure Beach in St Elizabeth, Jamaica. He currently lives in Australia.
Hurricane Melissa has been one of, if not the worst Hurricane to cause damage, loss of life, and change of life, to hit Jamaica.
Treasure Beach, and surrounding towns in the St Elizabeth parish, were hit with some of the worst from Melissa.
Members of Oshae's family and members of the community are in need of clearing and rebuilding parts of their homes, some have lost their roof and the insides are flooded, some are living without much structure at all.
St Elizabeth, is gorgeous farmland, providing food for Jamaica. After the hurricane, crops have now been destroyed, including Oshae's father and sister, and many friends and members of the community.
The closest major town, Black River has been hit very hard, making it difficult to gain supplies and resources.
Jamaicans have an incredible spirit, and we are here to help keep there spirits high and support this long journey to recovery.
This fundraiser will be going directly to Oshae's family & friends, supporting the Treasure Beach community to assist in all things, including food, rebuilding, medical supplies, clean water etc.
Thank you so much for being here. If you don't have the means to donate, we would love for you to share this fundraiser.
Massive Love x
The Money Raised will be distributed to:
Oshae's immediate family to rebuild their roof, Improve structure of the home, and flood damage. Including the costs of resources.
Assist in rebuilding crops
Assist in purchasing food and clean water
This is our main priority and if funds allow we can then extend to other members of the community we know who are in need.
As this fundraiser is going directly to our family, if you are looking to donate to Non-Profit organizations who are also on the ground helping members of the community, you can take a look here:
This is Oshae's Family's home currently, and we are working towards making this much more durable.
We will share updates as they happen.
We are grateful that everyone is ok, however we are here to help them get their lives back on track, all in good time. Communication with them is limited at the moment.
Thank you for being here. Much Love.
