Help Family After Unexpected Death

Heartbroken family mourning the unexpected loss of beloved Gary Slaughter, 44 years young

I can’t even process the fact that I’m writing this for the family. I’m in shock and one moment has truly changed everything. Gary and Christi went to bed the evening of October 1st with so many plans that abruptly changed in the blink of an eye when he didn't wake up the morning of October 2, 2021, passing during the night from an aneurysm.

Gary was taken too soon, depriving the world of his kindness, generosity, sense of humor, love and his smile. He loved hunting, camping, being outdoors, his hats, garden, his Philadelphia Eagles and spending time with the people he loved, especially his 4 year old grandson he and Christi were in the middle of adopting. He was the type of person that would make himself available to help anyone and cared deeply.

Gary is and will always be loved by his surviving wife Christi of 13 years, mom Tommi; dad and stepmom Gary and Wendy; sister and brother in-law Angela and Marco; brother Wyatt and fiance Carly, sister Alex, daughters Hailley and Sabrina; 3 stepsons Greg, Cody and Nicolas; 2 grandchildren Wyatt and Grey; nephew Izaiah; nieces Kierra and Maddie; and his many aunts, uncles and friends. Gary touched so many people and will be missed by all. So many plans, so many years taken away, so many tears from those who loved him ... and a grandson that wants to go on a plane to the clouds so he can be with his papa in heaven. Heartbreaking!!

Gary, an electrician, was the sole breadwinner with no other source of income for the family. We are asking that you find it in your heart to help his family with expenses so his wife has time to grieve while caring for their grandson alone without adding financial stress during this very difficult time.. Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 9:00am located at 2939 W Rose Garden Lane, Phoenix, AZ 85027.
