Hi, my name is Jeanne Reslan and I’m fundraising for my best friend, Kristen, and her three young children.

Rich Wentworth and Kristen Kestel (Rich’s ex-wife) moved to Belize a couple years ago with their three children: Ian (12), Mia (10) and Ivy (7). They lived an adventurous life with their children - full of nature, new experiences, wonderful friends, and (of course) baseball!

On April 16, he became gravely ill and close friends drove him to the hospital. Shortly after arriving at the hospital, he went into cardiac arrest. Despite the doctors and nurses best efforts, Rich sadly passed away. Kristen and their children were en route and arrived about 20 minutes after his passing. They were able to see Rich, hug him, and tell him how much they loved him before his body was taken away.

Kristen and Rich were wonderful co-parents. They were committed to raising their children as a family and remained close friends despite no longer being married. Losing Rich is a huge loss to the children and also to Kristen.

Rich was only 49. His life was cut far too short. He would be grateful to know that his children have resources for their future education and for Kristen to use to support them.
