Alex Lozano friends, family is sad to announce the passing of our Sensei Alexis Lozano-Garcia on Saturday, February 15th, 2025. Sensei Lozano was born in Cuba. He graduated with a master’s degree in physical education, specializing in the sport of Judo. Sensei Lozano immigrated from Cuba in 2000, where he continued his judo coaching career. Sensei Lozano is a 3rd Dan. He has competed in judo since childhood and has participated in countless tournaments, including national and international competitions. Sensei Lozano has been a volunteer assistant coach for Westlake Judo Club for almost 15 years and was a certified national U.S.A. Judo Coach. Sensei Lozano helped to develop students who compete in tournaments across the U.S. and internationally.

Sensei Alex left a lasting impact on each and every one of his students. He will be greatly missed. You will always remain in our Hearts
