Makayla is raising funds for her close family friends, Kandice and David Higgins, whose 12-year-old son, Case Higgins, suffered a devastating accident while racing a junior sprint car at I-44 Speedway in Oklahoma. During the accident, Case sustained severe third-degree burns over approximately half of his body. He was initially placed on life support and has undergone multiple surgeries. He continues to face a long and difficult recovery that will require ongoing medical care and extensive therapy.
The Higgins family has been approximately five hours away from home while Kandice and David remain by Case’s side. They have missed a significant amount of work throughout his hospitalization and recovery. The costs of travel, lodging, meals, medical care, therapy, and everyday household expenses have continued to add up while they also care for their other children and work to keep their family together.
Kandice Higgins, Case’s mother, will receive and manage the donations on behalf of Case and their family. All donations will be used for expenses directly related to Case’s medical treatment and recovery, as well as travel, lodging, missed work, and necessary household expenses while his parents remain focused on his care.
Makayla is asking for continued support as the Higgins family navigates this incredibly difficult journey. Every donation and share helps ease the financial burden and allows the family to remain focused on Case’s healing and recovery. Thank you for supporting Case and the entire Higgins family.
