A day after my husband's 40th birthday, on December 6th, around 12:41pm in Richfield, MN; my beloved hard working husband was taken from the drivers seat of his car without any reasoning.

My husband and kids were on their way home to go celebrate his birthday when various unidentified agents pulled them over. They surrounded my husbands van with one SUV in the front, one behind them and one on the side.

A Spanish speaking agent approached our 16 year old's window demanding identification, asked what country my husband was from and asked if he had permission to be in the US. My husband identified himself, all while our 16 year old was recording and was threatened by the Spanish speaking agent to put his phone away. He was told in Spanish "You are not going to like what we do".

They proceeded to question my husband eventually yanking him out of the car. The agent lied and told the other agents in English, "Get him out, he claims to be illegal". Our 16 year old was recording and trying to calm down our 11 year old in the backseat. He was asking our 11 year old to give him her hand so that he could calm her since she started to cry, as they watched their father get yanked out of the van.

When the unidentified agents physically removed my husband from his seat, they ended up putting their hand through the window and pulling the handle to open the door, my husband did not resist, he was removing his seatbealt and was still telling the kids to call me and that everything was going to be okay.

He was handcuffed, had his jacket and hat removed, and was thrown in an unidentified vehicle, his wallet was thrown in the car and our children left alone and traumatized.

Richfield Police eventually showed up as my children watched the car that my husband was placed in drive away. They were not able to say goodbye, they were not able to celebrate his birthday, and they will not be able to experience his love this holiday season.

Our family was ripped apart in such an inhumane way and for no reason other than the color of their skin.

My husband was the primary provider. This leaves a family of 8 without their father figure and protector. We are expecting our first grandchild and he was so happy to meet the baby. We are completely devastated and are left with a huge financial burden. Anything you can do to help will be greatly appreciated.

Un día después del cumpleaños número 40 de mi esposo, el 6 de diciembre, alrededor de las 12:41 p. m. en Richfield, Minnesota, mi amado y trabajador esposo fue sacado del asiento del conductor de su auto sin ninguna razón.

Mi esposo y mis hijos iban de camino a casa para celebrar su cumpleaños cuando varios agentes no identificados los detuvieron. Rodearon la van de mi esposo con una camioneta SUV al frente, una detrás y otra a un lado.

Un agente que hablaba español se acercó a la ventanilla de nuestro hijo de 16 años exigiendo identificación, preguntó de qué país era mi esposo y si tenía permiso para estar en Estados Unidos. Mi esposo se identificó, mientras nuestro hijo de 16 años grababa y el agente que hablaba español lo amenazó para que guardara su teléfono. Le dijeron en español: "No te va a gustar lo que vamos a hacer".

Procedieron a interrogar a mi esposo y finalmente lo sacaron a la fuerza del su van. El agente mintió y les dijo a los otros agentes en inglés: "Sáquenlo, dice que es illegal". Nuestro hijo de 16 años estaba grabando e intentando calmar a nuestra hija de 11 años en el asiento trasero. Le pedía a nuestra hija de 11 años que le diera la mano para calmarla, ya que había comenzado a llorar al ver cómo sacaban a su padre de la van.

Cuando los agentes no identificados sacaron físicamente a mi esposo de su asiento, metieron la mano por la ventanilla y tiraron de la manija para abrir la puerta. Mi esposo no se resistió, se estaba quitando el cinturón de seguridad y seguía diciéndoles a los niños que me llamaran y que todo iba a estar bien.

Lo esposaron, le quitaron la chaqueta y su gorra, y lo arrojaron a un vehículo no identificado, le arrojaron su billetera adentro de su van y dejaron a nuestros hijos solos y traumatizados.

La policía de Richfield finalmente llegó mientras mis hijos veían cómo se alejaba el auto en el que habían metido a mi esposo. No pudieron despedirse, no pudieron celebrar su cumpleaños y no podrán experimentar su amor en esta temporada de fiestas.

Nuestra familia fue destrozada de una manera tan inhumana y sin otra razón que el color de su piel.

Mi esposo era el principal sostén de la familia. Esto deja a una familia de 8 personas sin su figura paterna y su protector. Estamos esperando a nuestro primer nieto y él estaba muy emocionado por conocer al bebé. Estamos completamente destrozados y nos enfrentamos a una enorme carga financiera. Cualquier ayuda que puedan brindarnos será muy apreciada.
