I run Papa Bear Power, a small local electrical business dedicated to helping families in need. Over the years, I've seen firsthand how many people struggle to afford essential electrical work in their homes. Sometimes, what starts as a simple request for a new outlet turns into a much bigger need, like a full panel upgrade. As a small business, I do what I can, but the demand often exceeds my resources. In our area, there are very few licensed electricians, and many are aging out, making it even harder for families to get the help they need.

The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward providing free or discounted electrical services, purchasing materials, and launching an apprenticeship program. I want to make the process as simple as possible—no bureaucratic nonsense, just a visit to the home and an in-person interview. People will know on the spot if they qualify for help. This approach ensures that support reaches those who need it most, quickly and efficiently.

There are over 100,000 residences across Pike, Crenshaw, Butler, Lowndes, Montgomery, Bullock, Barbour, Dale, Coffee, Covington, Dallas, Geneva, Houston, and Henry counties. Even a single dollar can make a difference, helping families stay cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The apprenticeship program will give the next generation of electricians a head start, allowing them to learn and get their hours while helping those who otherwise couldn't afford it.
