Help Families Rebuild After the 839 Elmwood Ave Fire

My name is Michelle Aguiar, and my father, John Aguiar, owned 839 Elmwood Ave for over 35 years. Early in the morning on December 10, a devastating fire engulfed the six-family building, leaving it a total loss. Nine individuals who called this building home lost everything they had in an instant.

These families are now without the essentials we often take for granted—clothing, beds, phones, and even their emotional support animals. The comfort and security of the homes they had built over the years were taken away in a single, tragic moment.

With the holidays just around the corner, I am reaching out to our community to help these families begin to rebuild their lives. Many of them lived in this building for years, creating a tight-knit community that they cherished. I hope to raise enough funds to help them secure new housing and provide some relief during this incredibly difficult time.
