My name is Hannah, and I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of my cousin’s wife and her family, whose hometowns of Agua Blanca and San Agustin, in Oaxaca, Mexico were directly hit by a Category 3 hurricane, Erick, that made landfall on Wednesday.

This powerful storm caused immense destruction—homes have been damaged, restaurants and businesses were wiped out, and basic necessities like clean water, food, and shelter are now uncertain for many. The people of Agua Blanca are resilient, but right now they need our help to begin rebuilding their lives.

The funds raised here will go directly to supporting families in Agua Blanca and San Agustin. Every dollar will help provide emergency relief—covering things like roof repairs, food, clean water, and other essentials—as well as contribute to longer-term rebuilding efforts.

FAQs

Who is overseeing the withdrawal of funds, into what bank account? My cousin’s wife Cruz Diaz and I will oversee withdrawals and send it electronically to her family Mexico.

Who is responsible for the management of the funds (purchasing, distributing items, etc)? Cruz’s family will manage all donations.

Will the funds be used for supplies or money? Money for the affected community to use in Mexico, this will be used for basic necessities and repairs.
